I was in the car on my way to meet Brandy and Candice at Sweetwaters when my cell phone rang. I didn’t recognize the number and started not to answer it, but I did anyway.

“Hello,” I said.

“Yo, where you at?” I heard Gee say from the other end of the phone.

“Driving down Jefferson, why?” I asked him.

“Where are you headed to?” He asked me, I hated when he asked me a question without answering the question I asked him.

“I’m meeting Brandy and Candice there,” I said.

“Well call me as soon as you leave them,” he said.

“Okay,” I said, hanging up the phone.

When I got to Sweetwaters, Brandy and Candice were there but they weren’t alone. Moe, Mike, and Tim were there with them.

“What’s up?” I asked, sitting at the booth with them.

“Have you talked to your boy?” Mike asked me.

“No I haven’t. And I told you once before when he calls me or answers my calls, I’ll be sure to let y’all know,” I said. I was really irritated with Brandy and Candice; those bitches were really working my nerves. “Is that the reason y’all called me down here? To see if I’ve heard from Gee? Y’all could have asked me this shit over the phone,” I said getting up from the booth and walking towards the door.

“Jas, wait!” Brandy yelled out. I turned around and she and Candice were walking behind me.

“What?” I asked as I walked out the door.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Brandy asked me.

I stopped in my tracks and turned around to face them. “No, what the hell is wrong with you? Do it look like I wanted to get out my damn bed just so I could answer questions about Gee ass?” I asked her.

“Tim wanted me to call and tell you to meet us down here,” Brandy said.

“Bran, don’t lie. You wanted to know if she talked to that nigga. We want him dead. And he’s going to die,” Candice said with venom in her eyes and voice. Brandy didn’t have the same look in her eyes.

“Look, I gotta go. I told y’all before; if and when he calls me, I’ll let y’all know,” I said as I walked off. I needed to talk to my cousin when she wasn’t around Candice or Moe.

“I’ll call you once we leave from here.” Brandy said.

“Okay,” I said as I walked towards my car. But before I could reach it, I heard Mike call my name. I turned around to face him.

“What do you want Mike?” I asked him.

“Why do you have an attitude with me? I didn’t do anything,” he said.

“Because yo ass was using me this whole time. If you wanted to get at Gee, why didn’t you just say that in the first place instead of playing with my feelings yet again?” I asked him.

“Yo Jas, on the real, that was not my intentions. I didn’t even know Gee was the nigga you was fucking until that nigga Tim told me about it,” he said.
